The Turkey Tango - Mrs. Benedict's class

The day before our long break, students in Mrs. Benedict's class learned a fun song called "The Turkey Tango." FYI - his name is Fred and he's from Durango. Check out their fancy dance moves!

Se Se Se - A Japanese Singing Game (Ms. Alt's Class)

In Ms. Alt's class, students are learning to identify when there is a beat with sound and a beat with no sound.  As an extension activity, students learned how to play a Japanese singing game after they were able to identify where in the song there are beats with no sound.  You'll see by the pictures that the students thoroughly enjoyed the game!  And it's easy enough that we think you'll be able to play it as well.

Rock, paper, or scissors?

Who wins?

Se, se, se ...

...no yoi, yoi, yoi.

Ocha-lacka, ocha-lacka...

...ocha-lacka hoi!

Ocha-lacka, ocha-lacka ...

...ocha-lacka hoi!

Chorus Songs

Here are some links for the songs we are singing for Chorus.  This is a great way to practice at home!

I'll see if I can find something for Jolly Old St. Nicholas.  In the meantime, sing, sing, sing!
